Effective immediately, CCP’s Coatings Resins Group implemented a 2005 volume sales control program for all acrylic-containing coatings resins.
According to Dan Kile, vice president of polymers for CCP, the action is necessitated by the extremely tight supply of acrylic monomers.
“Customer purchases of acrylic-based products will be limited to volumes purchased in 2004,” Mr. Kile said. “Each customer will be contacted personally by their CCP sales representative to discuss those products and purchase plans affected by this announcement.
“CCP apologizes for any inconvenience this program may have on our customers’ business operations,” Mr. Kile said. “We are determined to minimize the effects of this action, and are diligently monitoring supply sources. We continue to be committed to providing the best in products and services, which includes making every effort to hold down costs, to limit price changes and to keep our customers informed.”
