Sun Chemical announced the alignment of its North American Inks businesses to better serve its customers in different market segments and to overall increase the value to the customer.
Michael Griem, president of Sun Chemical’s North American Inks business unit, noted that the organization will organize around three distinct markets: Publication, Packaging and Commercial.
To support this alignment, the following personnel changes were announced:
Chris Parrilli was named president, North American publication inks, and will focus primarily on serving the web offset printing markets and large scale publication markets.
Richard Pettifor, president, North American packaging inks will continue to lead this business.
Mark Levin was named president, North American commercial group, which includes Kohl & Madden, Coates Screen, Digital Ink Jet, Solaris and Rycoline. In addition, customer service centers and inplants that service these businesses will be integrated into the Commercial Group.
In connection to this reorganization, it was also announced that Brad Bergey has elected to resign from Sun Chemical. Mr. Bergey enjoyed a long, successful career at Sun Chemical, beginning in 1978. Most recently he served as president of Kohl & Madden.
“Brad has made significant contributions to Sun Chemical over the years, has always exhibited the highest of character and professionalism, and we at Sun Chemical thank him and wish him the very best in his new endeavors,” said Wes Lucas, Sun Chemical’s chairman, president and CEO.
