The Graphic Arts Marketing Information Service (GAMIS) has released the 2000 edition of the Statistical Handbook for the Graphic Arts Industry. According to the organization, this handbook serves as a valuable reference for individuals in the industry who need quick access to a wide array of statistics and information relating to the graphic communications industry. In addition, the 2000 edition marks the first time the handbook has included an index in the printed volume for easy reference to various topics and a CD including electronic files of the data contained in the print version.
As in previous editions, the 2000 handbook includes economic, print and end-user market statistics for the U.S. and various European and Asian countries, retail and advertising media mix trends in North America and printing and publishing information from the U.S. Commerce Department and Census Bureau. In addition, the handbook also included information and statistics on paper and other consumables as well as prepress, press and other equipment and supplies.
The GAMIS 2000 Statistical Handbook is now available to PIA/GATF members for $395, and non-members for $495. An order form may be obtained at www.GAMIS.org.
