Bayer Corporation, Pittsburgh, PA, has expanded the list of e-business options available to its polymers and chemicals business customers to include eXtensible Mark-up Language (XML) transmissions for receiving and processing customer purchase orders.
According to Bayer, XML offers numerous benefits, including the ability for customers to establish a direct business to business link to the company while ensuring access to all of the customizable functions of the BayerONE online e-business tool. Additionally, having the XML capabilities also enables Bayer to be able to integrate its supply chain systems with its customers’ order data, according to the company.
