keim additec surface GmbH, founded in 1988 and located in Kirchberg/Germany since 1996, has specialized very early in the development and production of water-based ULTRALUBE® wax additives in order to achieve an improvement or modification of surface properties of aqueous coating formulations like printing inks, overprint varnishes, lacquers, wood stains, adhesives and polishes.

keim additec surface USA LLC, located in Chicago IL, was founded for sales and distribution in 2004 in order to serve the needs for ULTRALUBE®-products of keim additec surface GmbH as well as SILCO high performance additives of silcona in the United States.

The sister company silcona is engaged in the production and development of non-wax-based high performance SILCO additives as SILCO SPERSE dispersing additives, SILCO WET wetting additives, SILCO FLW flow and leveling additives, SILCO GLIDE slip additives, SILCO PHOBE hydrophobing additives and SILCO AF defoamers.

Ceronas is a manufacturer of wax specialties for a broad field of industrial applications. For plastics processing, Ceronas is producing functionalized VISCOCER® waxes as well as unique modified polyester waxes and reactive ADDIMER® wax additives. Main application fields of ADDIMER® and VISCOCER® wax additives are technical plastics, colour and additive masterbatches, PVC, fiber reinforced composites as well as powder coatings.

Under the brand name mju:wax®, Ceronas is developing and producing innovative micronized waxes for different kind of applications like printing inks, lacquers, paints and coatings, for solvent and water borne as well as powder coatings. Specialties are micronized mju:waxes® with a high degree of renewable origin as well as such types matching a density around 1.00 g/cmu00d1 being stable in low viscous aqueous environment. 

EUROCERAS is a wax manufacturer whose specialty are the CERALENE® waxes, which are ideal for printing inks, lacquers, plastics and polishes as well as special applications like lubricants for aluminum die casting machines.

Our state-of-the-art R&D Center in Kirchberg is staffed with professionals in the areas of chemistry, engineering and applications. Our highly skilled team purposefully expands our comprehensive product offerings with continuous and innovative developments. For over 25 years, we have creatively designed custom, project specific solutions responding to the needs of ever changing market realities.

In order to achieve a fast transfer of new developments from lab into production scale, a number of emulsification vessels of different volumes are available. The current production capacity of the plant is at approximately 165 tons of water-based wax additives per day.
