RadTech 2016 Focuses on Key Topics During Final Day

Sessions cover photoiniators, waterborne and composites.

As the RadTech UV+EB 2016 Technology Expo and Conference heads into its final day at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Chicago, IL, the latest technologies for ultraviolet (UV), UV LED and electron beam (EB) curing will be further examined in sessions ranging from Low-Gloss/Haptic Coatings and Composites to Photo Initiators and Waterborne.
 
Today features six sessions, split between Tracks A and B. In Track A, this morning’s segments feature talks on Low-Gloss/Haptic Coatings and Composites.
 
The topic of Low-Gloss/Haptic Coatings will be analyzed by Jonathan Shaw of Allnex, Rebecca (Becca) Banton of Evonik Corporation and Lisa Spagnola of Sartomer Americas.
 
Three speakers will talk about Composities. They include Dr. Mark S. Driscoll, SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry; Yunyun Bi, SUNY ESF; and Scott Van Remortel, Unimin.
 
Track A returns in the afternoon with a session titled Global Market Overview. RadTech North America president Peter Weissman of Quaker Chemical will provide the North American Market Overview, while RadTech Europe president David Helsby of RAHN will offer the European Market Overview. RadTech China’s Jianwen Yang will give insights into the China Radiation Cure Market, and M. Cristina Kobal C. de Carvalho, RadTech South America, will do the same in a talk on the South American UV/EB Market.
 
Track B covers Photointitaors, Waterborne and Cure Studies. Talks on Photoinitiators begin the track, leading off with presentations by W. A. Green of Great Lakes Fine Chemicals, Mike Wyrostek of Hampford Research, Marika Moronea of IGM Resins and Richard Eckberg of Momentive Performance Materials.
Composites.
 
The session on Waterborne features four speakers, beginning with Laurie Morris of Alberdingk Boley, Inc. Morris will be followed by Rami Awad, Miwon Specialty Chemical Co., Ltd.; Stephen Lapin, PCT Engineered Systems; and Ronald Obie, Wood Coatings Research Group. The final session of Track B, Cure Studies, incudes presentations by R.W.Stowe, Heraeus Noblelight America; Sage M. Schissel, University of Iowa; and Jananee Narayanan Sivakami, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
