The Printing Inks business also enjoyed growth, with sales increasing 3.5% to 29,782 million yen ($290 million). According to the company, domestic sales of gravure packaging inks were solid for beverage-related use,. In addition, sales were also strong in Southeast Asia market, primarily for lifestyle- and food-related products. Shipments of web offset rotary ink grew, especially for commercial printing, such as advertising inserts.
