CPIPC Honors George McGill, Andy Grabacki

The Chicago Printing Ink Production Club (CPIPC) recently held its Annual Christmas Party at the Pescatore Palace, Franklin Park, IL. Nearly 200 people were on hand for the dinner, which featured the awards for Ink Person of the Year and Ink Supplier of the Year.

George McGill, UV/EB chemist for Toyo Ink America, received the 2012 Ink Maker of the Year Award. Mr. McGill has 30 plus years in the industry; he is a member of RadTech, NAPIM and an instructor at the NPIRI summer course.

Andy Grabacki, vice president sales and marketing at General Press Color, received the 2012 Ink Supplier of the Year Award. Mr. Grabacki is a long-time ink raw material supplier, and volunteered his time for students taking the COD ink class to tour General Press Colors to see the process of making flush color. His father, Casimir Grabacki, was also a recipient of this award back in 1999.
