Tommy Asher, former president of CPS Corporation, passed away on Dec. 30, 2011 after a lengthy illness. He was 73.
Mr. Asher was born May 12, 1938 in Pineville, KY. He resided for the past 23 years in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
In the ink printing and graphic arts industry for more than 45 years, Mr. Asher was president of the former CPS Corporation in Dunkirk, NY. He was instrumental in the concept and expansion of the organization, which is still in operation today as INX International. He was also owner/president of Eagle Enterprises International in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
“Tommy Asher was a true ink legend,” said George Polasik, senior vice president and COO at INX International. “He was a true visionary, was the driving force in the growth of CPS Corporation in Dunkirk, NY, and one who believed in developing his people. Not only that, he was a true friend who will be missed.”
He is survived by his wife, Mary Butcher (Szczerbacki) Asher; children Karen Asher Young and Dale Asher; stepdaughters Denise Szczerbacki Fishkin and Diana Szczerbacki Reincke; granddaughter Megan; and stepgrandchildren Sarah, Rachel, Jeremy, Logan and Landen.
