David Savastano, Ink World Editor10.14.09
In January 1997, Ink World published the first U.S. Ink Directory, the first and only such listing of U.S. ink manufacturers. Since then, we have annually updated our directory, keeping our readers up-to-date with the changes that are occurring within the printing ink industry. The U.S. Ink Directory has become one of our most popular features, and is read by virtually every U.S. ink manufacturer.
There is a lot of research and effort that goes into our U.S. Ink Directory. Information is gathered throughout the year, and each company on the list is contacted to update address, product, personnel and contact information. We also are on the lookout for new ink companies to add to our directory, and as has been the case for the past four years, we were able to find new manufacturers to replace companies that are no longer in the industry.
For me, the U.S. Ink Directory is an interesting and fun way to begin a new year, as I have the pleasure of catching up with many of the key leaders throughout the industry, to find out how the year is going and develop new leads for the coming year. Through these conversations, I’ve learned a tremendous amount about the industry during the past five years, and I am extremely grateful to the ink industry people who give of their time to help me compile the directory.
There is a tremendous amount of information that can be found in this year’s U.S. Ink Directory which ensures that it is read by every ink manufacturer in the U.S., and I certainly hope that our readers will learn more about the industry and ultimately benefit from our directory.
