Job Description:
Position Summary:
Responsible for IIMAK’s industrial inks business platform that is focused on primary and secondary coding applications and specialty inks – e.g. Hi-Res, Drop-On-Demand, Continuous Ink Jet, marking device inks, etc. Responsibilities include managing and growing existing accounts, as well as developing new products, markets, and customers. Entrepreneurial spirit and a will-succeed attitude are essential for success in this position.
Principal Responsibilities:
• Responsibility for IIMAK’s industrial inks business platform that is focused on primary & secondary coding applications and specialty inks (e.g. Hi-Res, Drop-On-Demand, Continuous Ink Jet, marking device inks, etc).
• Develop new customers and business opportunities, as well as account management for existing customers, to ensure IIMAK achieves/exceeds its business goals.
• Perform market research to identify potential new products, services, sales channels, and ink business acquisitions.
• Develop and drive business cases once an innovation has been identified as needed for the organization. Responsible for completion of stage gate deliverables per IIMAK’s commercialization process.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to define product objectives, requirements, and attribute prioritization.
• Prepare the necessary internal reports and presentations for executive level business reviews.
• Potential responsibility for managing business segment sales staff.
• Travel as required, approximately 50%.
Desired Skills and Expertise:
Qualified Candidates Should Possess:
• Bachelor’s degree required (graduate degree or MBA, a plus).
• 8+ years of product management and/or sales experience, preferably 5+ related to industrial inkjet inks.
• Drive to achieve positive results with an ability to anticipate and respond to threats or opportunities that might affect business performance; proactive and confident in ability to initiate action when necessary.
• High energy, self-motivation and entrepreneurial spirit are essential in the success of this role.
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems, analyze issues and ask questions to elicit accurate information; systematically evaluate problems and encourage alternative approaches and new ideas.
• Successful track record of working with customers and cross-functional teams to identify, specify, develop, and launch new products.
• Proven success interfacing with, and building relationships with, all levels of internal and external organizations.
• Proven track record of demonstrating excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
• Strong PC skills to include MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing work environments.
