Brookfield Engineering Laboratories announced the appointment of Eric Chiang to the position of senior sales engineer. Continuing expansion in Brookfield’s worldwide business for viscosity measurement/control and texture analysis has necessitated this addition to staff at the U.S. headquarters. Mr. Chiang’s multilingual capability (Chinese, Malay, etc.) will be helpful to Brookfield’s growing customer base in Asia.
At Brookfield, Mr. Chiang provides customers with sales assistance and technical support for both the domestic and international markets. He also serves on the Brookfield training team, teaching the practical course on viscosity measurements and the applied course on viscosity test methods. These practical, hands-on courses are offered at Brookfield’s facility in Middleboro, MA, and at major metropolitan areas across the U.S.
Most recently, Mr. Chiang held positions with Hexagon Holdings Berhad in Malaysia and Yokogawa Electric Corp. He has extensive experience in project engineering and instrumentation. He has been involved in the design/build of plants, including both the installation and commission and maintenance and repair cycles.
Mr. Chiang received an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering at the University of the District of Columbia and then completed his MBA at the University of Newcastle in Australia.
