Sun Chemical Screen appointed Dr. Giles Cartwright to a dedicated European sales role focused on expanding sales of Project 37 (P37), its digital inkjet printer for use on optical discs.

Dr. Cartwright adds considerable experience and expertise to Sun Chemical’s marketing and business team, having worked in the optical disc industry for nine years. Before joining Sun Chemical, he spent seven years working for Nimbus, which develops and manufactures optical disc mastering solutions. The leading-edge P37 printer is controlled by bespoke software, and incorporates unique inkjet technology to ensure unrivaled print quality.

“One of my primary goals is to increase awareness of digital printing within the optical disc industry,” Dr. Cartwright said. “This machine has a significant place in an increasingly competitive market. P37 is the ideal solution for customers with short deadlines in both the duplication and replication markets.”

“Giles’ appointment as a sales executive represents an important step forward in promoting the digital printing capability afforded by P37 and generating significant sales success,” Trevor Pratt, business and marketing director for Sun Chemical Screen, said.
