Dan Kickel has been named vice president and general manager of PolyOne Corporation’s Polymer Coatings Systems business.
Mr. Kickel will lead the strategic development of the business along with overseeing the day-to-day operations of this unit. Polymer Coatings Systems manufactures liquid polymer products for a variety of end-use markets. Products include Wilflex inks used in screen printing, specialty liquid colorants and additives for the rubber and plastics industries, and vinyl dispersions used in automotive interiors, and metal and fiberglass coatings. This business has manufacturing operations in Europe, North America and Asia.
Most recently, Mr. Kickel had been vice president of key account management for PolyOne. Prior to that, he was the chief sourcing officer for the company. He joined the B.F. Goodrich Company in 1971, holding sales positions including national account manager, southeast regional sales director, national sales director of resins and compounds and director of business management for Goodrich’s Geon Vinyl division.
Mr. Kickel assumes this leadership role from François Coté, who has been the general manager for both the Polymer Coatings Systems and Specialty Resins units for the past few years. Mr. Coté will continue as vice president and general manager of Specialty Resins.
