José Assini Perdomo has been appointed managing director of Stork Prints Brazil.
Based at São Paulo, Mr. Perdomo takes overall responsibility for the Latin American arm of Stork Prints BV. He will be strengthening the company’s support of a growing customer base, which includes label, packaging and wall-cover converters, as well as textile manufacturers, across a region from Chile to Mexico. He will report to Stephan Haagh, Stork Prints’ managing director, textile at Boxmeer, Netherlands.
Mr. Perdomo has more than 20 years’ experience of divisional leadership in global organizations, following senior managerial positions in similar fields of industry to those of Stork Prints. Most recently, from June 2002, until his appointment by Stork Prints, Mr. Assini has been successfully running his own company, RLG, a consultancy and distributor for suppliers to the textile industry. As a result, he brings a substantial amount of insight into the world textile market.
Graduating in electrical engineering from City University (formerly General Nuno Lisboa University), in Rio de Janeiro, he attended a post graduation program in English language at Michigan State University. Last year he concluded his MBA in global marketing at FISP University in São Paulo.
