INX International Ink Co. has been awarded “Supplier Excellence” honors by Rexam PLC, the world’s largest beverage can manufacturer with operations in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
“INX continues to demonstrate its ability to meet our expectations and raise the bar on supplier performance,” said Dean Guzlas, Rexam’s vice president, supply chain. “INX has shown an impressive commitment to understanding our business and working with us to set new standards of operational excellence.”
“This is really a team effort by the Charlotte, NC plant and INX in-plants at Rexam locations, as well as our technical groups, sales representatives and corporate staff,” noted Dave Waller, INX vice president, sales-rigid packaging, in accepting the Bronze-level award. “We’re very proud of this accomplishment.”
Criteria for Rexam Supplier Excellence awards include Process Capability, Technology, Voice of the Customer (VOC) feedback from various Rexam facilities, timeliness of shipments and other areas. Only four companies received Supplier Excellence awards this year. INX’ ongoing involvement with Rexam also includes cost containment and cost reduction projects.
“We are counting on INX to continue this performance,” added Mr. Guzlas, “and help us deliver world-class cost and quality, to take their performance to the next level and earn another Supplier Excellence award.”
