Xennia has unveiled plans for expansion in the fast-growing market for industrial ink jet applications and launched XenJet, its new product manufacturing and supply division.
XenJet will provide a range of ink jet print engines, production printers, development tools and inks, available as stand-alone products or for customization and integration onto existing production lines. Target applications include industrial printing, micro-dispensing, product decoration and coating, materials deposition and rapid prototyping, for sectors as diverse as packaging, graphics, printed electronics, smart labels, displays, biotech, automotive and textiles.
With the creation of XenJet, Xennia is able to offer its customers a complete service for new industrial ink jet applications – from initial feasibility studies, through customized chemistry and system development, to supply of full production systems and inks. Xennia’s unique chemistry-driven integration approach has enabled it to create a number of breakthrough application solutions.
“Xennia has a reputation in the industry as a leading innovator,” said Alan Hudd, Xennia president and CTO. “We began life as an ink jet formulations house, but the last few years have seen Xennia increasingly developing full turnkey solutions, including ink and integrated production printers. XenJet is the next logical step for us. Now we are able to leverage Xennia’s development capabilities to offer our customers printing systems and inks for a wide range of applications, using our proprietary technology platforms. It realizes our ambition to be the world’s first one stop ink jet solutions house.”
