Xaar plc, Cambridge, U.K., announced that Xaar and Xennia Technology Limited have agreed to extend their ink jet cooperation first announced last June. Under the new agreement, Xennia will be a preferred Xaar integrator partner and the companies will work together to offer customers turnkey industrial ink jet solutions, based on Xaar printheads and Xennia’s ink jet ink and engineering capabilities.
XenJet, Xennia’s new ink jet division, will provide a range of ink jet print engines and production printers, available as stand-alone units or for integration onto customers’ production lines. The current range of Xaar printheads and the latest generation greyscale heads will be fully supported by XenJet products.
“We regard the strengthening of the Xennia-Xaar relationship as very good news for our customers,” said Nick Balon, vice president and general manager of Xennia. “Our goal is to make it easier for our customers to implement robust ink jet solutions into their production processes. Xennia’s expertise in ink jet ink formulation and systems integration, together with Xaar’s position as a leading printhead company will, we believe, be a compelling proposition.”
