US Ink, Carlstadt, NJ, has added Spectra High-Strength Black and Spectra Max Black to the company’s portfolio of high-performance products.
As the newest member of the company’s Spectra family of inks, Spectra High-Strength Black and Spectra Max Black will afford customers important options and advantages in determining the products that best suits their performance needs.
Spectra High-Strength Black complements US Ink’s Spectra High-Strength Color. It is similar in composition to US Ink’s premium low-rub RubPruf Black and is 20 percent stronger than conventional coldset black ink.
“Spectra Max Black was developed for printers seeking an even blacker black,” said John Corcoran, US Ink’s vice president of sales.
Spectra Max Black complements US Ink’s Spectra Max Color. Its chemistry is similar to the Spectra High-Strength Black. However, the addition of a proprietary blue pigment gives it the “Max” black appearance.
“Spectra High-Strength Black and Spectra Max Black are examples of US Ink’s on-going commitment to research and development,” said Larry Lepore, vice president of operations for US Ink. “Both of these products have been successful because of their print quality and consistency. Spectra Max Black is an even higher strength ink, and printers can now achieve their goal of maximum quality while employing a thinner ink film. The utilization of less ink translates into better mileage and represents significant production advantages with less page-to-page setoff, and a higher quality level with improved contrast.”
