Uvitec Printing Ink has developed the UVion 39 series, a universal ink that runs smoothly on all letterpress equipment, according to the company. UVion 39 has good cure speed and is hot stampable and imprintable. Its formulation properties allow it to be used on wide range of paper, film and foil substrates, thereby improving inventory management, reducing waste and set up costs and minimizing the potential for ink selection errors.
UVion 39 series ink will deliver excellent adhesion on most synthetic substrates. According to the company, the ink strikes a balance between curing hard enough to provide good scruff and product resistance while being flexible enough to produce quality hot stampings and excellent adhesion.
“The UVion 39 series addresses a market need as the vast majority of tag and label converters use multiple substrates,” said Andrew Dakos, president of UVitec. “It is an ‘all in one’ ink that satisfies any print demand. Equally important is the quality of the ink. UVion 39 is the natural evolution of our ink line and is based upon some of our finest tried and true products. By using these products as a foundation, UVion 39 is able to deliver high performance, evident by the fact it has passed stringent quality tests.”
