INX International Ink Co. has introduced several new products that enhance the UV printing experience by improving printing efficiency and lowering applied costs.
The first are LithoCure hybrid inks, which allow hybrid printers to eliminate the need for special roller conditioning. LithoCure also works with sheetfed fountain solution, and has been shown to clean up with conventional press washes, according to the compan, which added that the LithoCure inks offer exceptional adhesion to a wide variety of synthetic substrates and excellent lamination bond strengths. INX LithoCure inks are designed to be VOC free, and they utilize environmentally friendly vegetable oil-based products.
INXCure UVXcel sheetfed inks are formulated for exceptional performance at all printing speeds exhibiting excellent dot gain, trap values, color consistency and press control, according to the company. There is also virtually no misting at lower tack values. This was accomplished through INX’s R&D efforts to provide energy curable ink with rheology characteristics that offer exceptional flow and less viscosity change under shear. The water fighting capabilities of UVXcel allow the ink to maintain product consistency under emulsion conditions, thus maintaining its structure on press.
INXCure UV WebXcel are designed to be low tack, low misting and high cure response for the UV web printer. The exceptional transfer, water resistance and low tack of the inks mean that the inks do not need to be constantly adjusted press-side for different substrates, the company said. WebXcel leads to less tailing at higher densities, which greatly decreases waste.
INXCure UVXcel Universal Base System is a complete blending system designed to work on virtually any energy curable offset press. This color matching system is designed to deliver the excellent performance engineered into the UVXcel product line, according to INX. The high strength and transfer of the UVXcel blending system lead to vibrant colors. The bases can be utilized to match a wide variety of formulating systems, as well as any custom color.
