Achieving ISO certification indicates that a company has put into place a quality management system to ensure it consistently provides products that
meet customer and applicable regulatory requirements. Ink manufacturers have found that their many key customers prefer working with companies that have earned ISO registration.
Micro Inks Corporation, Schaumburg, IL, recently joined the ranks of ISO
companies when it received IS0 9001:2000 certification from KPMG.
“In keeping with our goal for constant improvement and reflecting on our
vision to provide preeminent customer satisfaction, we are proud to receive this certification,” said Frank J. Moravec, president and CEO. He attributed
this achievement to the dedication of all Micro Inks’ employees.
“Enthusiasm and desire of each and every employee made it so in such a short time,” said Coumara Radja, vice president, corporate affairs for Micro Inks.
“This is an incredible achievement for a company this young, and could only happen through the hard work and dedication of all our people,” said Rudy Albrecht, Micro Inks’ head of quality assurance. “Thanks to our people, we have proven to the world that we are an ink company like no other.”
Mr. Moravec said that Micro’s next objective is to become totally integrated with its parent company, Hindustan Inks and Resins Ltd., through the implementation of an Enterprise Resource Planning system, utilizing SAP software. “In addition, Micro Inks is in the process of Six Sigma training to further enhance its total quality program,” he said.
