The seminar’s topics will include Lean Manufacturing; Servo-drive Technology, Uptime Solutions; Opaltone Process; and a variety of other cost saving/profit building opportunities for converters. Presenters include MarkAndy/Comco, Gallus, Chromas, Akzo Nobel Inks, Harper, Rotometrics, Avery Dennison/Fasson, API, Telstar, Prime UV, Eckart and Dunwoody Institute.
Additional seminars in 2003 include “Press Technologies,” which will be held in June, and will introduce converters to new technologies available to enhance their applications, such as cold foiling.
In August, Akzo Nobel Inks will host “Introduction to Flexography,” which gives an overview of the flexo process from the ink room to the press room. On Oct. 14-15, “Narrow Web Packaging” is the topic of a seminar offering insight into new narrow web flexo packaging applications, along with the supplies and equipment available.
All seminars are free of charge and will conclude with a press demonstration on Akzo Nobel Inks’ 6-color combination press, exhibiting various printing processes first-hand. These technical seminars will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
