Superior Printing Ink is less than a mile from the World Trade Center, and its employees expressed their desire to help in a number of ways. Harvey Brice, Superior’s president, said that several employees worked at the disaster site as volunteers, others contributed to local police and fire departments and many volunteered to give blood.
“I take great pride in my employees. On Sept. 12, below 14th (Street) was closed. Thirty-seven employees made it through the barricades to come to work. It was quite a dedication to the company and their job,” said Mr. Brice.
