Intercolor Ltd. announced the introduction of Uvaflex Y7, a free radical UV curing flexographic ink for flexible packaging and an extension of the company’s successful Uvaflex range of UV flexo inks. Initial customer trials have met with considerable success, according to company officials.
Uvaflex Y7 inks are designed for printing on a wide range of OPP and BOPP synthetic substrates and aluminum foils for flexible packaging and label printer. Uvaflex Y7 inks offer instant cure at high speeds (in excess of 150 m/min) and excellent adhesion whether surface or reverse printed.
The intended application of Uvaflex Y7 inks dictates that a key characteristic of the inks is the absence of any distinctive odor.
