Clariant Pigments (Tianjin) Ltd. inaugurated a new plant for the production of organic pigments on Sept. 24. The new, $7 million plant utilizes the synthesis capability of existing workshops and optimizes the isolation, drying, grinding and packing of red and yellow azo pigments.
Clariant Pigments (Tianjin) Ltd. is a joint venture between the Swiss specialty chemical company Clariant and Tianjin No. 8 Chemical and Dyestuff Factory, which belongs to the Bohai Chemical Industry Group Corp.
The technology employed is state-of-the-art, and enables the production process to run continuously. Included in the project was an expansion of the biological water treatment plant, which satisfies international standards.
