Komori America will be exhibiting at IGAS 2018, which will be held in Tokyo from July 26-31, 2018 at Tokyo Big Sight. Komori is hosting the exhibition’s largest booth, under the theme “Innovate to Create.”
Demonstrations will start with Komori’s KP-Connect, middleware that connects processes and provides visualization of production status such as operating conditions and operating controls. Visitors to the booth will be introduced to the concept of Connected Automation, a process that maximizes production efficiency by linking prepress, press and post-press using the evolved KP-Connect.
New offset technologies include the compact, highly capable Lithrone G37 (GL37). Debuted at drupa 2016, this press has been updated and re-engineered to combine both functionality and design. It offers a 25x37-inch maximum sheet size and includes a CMS color bar on the sheet margin for 8-up A4 or US letter size impositions. The GL37 press is equipped with Komori’s proprietary H-UV L (LED) instant curing system to enable fast turnaround and higher productivity.
Also, being shown for the first time is the eight-color 37-inch convertible perfecting offset press, the Lithrone G37P (GL37P). The GL37P’s compact footprint expands installation possibilities for users with space restrictions and comes equipped with Komori’s environmentally friendly H-UV L (LED) instant curing system.
The Impremia IS29, Komori’s award-winning inkjet UV printing system, will also be front and center at the show. The Imperia IS29 is a state-of-the-art inkjet printing system capable of printing on a wide range of stocks, including ordinary offset paper. By taking advantage of UV inkjet characteristics, the IS29 is ideal for not only commercial print applications, but also package printing.
Komori’s Lithrone GX40 (GLX40) with coater will be in the booth, demonstrating advanced printing control and a high-precision print inspection system that enhances high-speed package printing and specialty printing.
Visitors seeking a 40-inch one-pass, double-sided press will find it in the Lithrone GX40RP (GLX40RP). The GLX40RP requires no reversing of the sheet, maximizing print area and making it an ideal solution for the increasing demand for package printing with double-sided multi-color printing. Equipped with the latest Komori technologies, this state-of-the-art press provides short make-ready and fast turnaround.
“IGAS 2018 is an international graphic arts show that provides visitors with a new vision of the future of the print media industry. The technologies and solutions presented at this show are exciting to us as they are a testimony to Komori’s commitment to continue to deliver the advanced technology that meets the demands of our evolving industry and fully supports increasing their productivity and their profitability,” said Meishi Tsuya, president and COO of Komori America.
