With the installation, Medius becomes the first company on the West Coast to acquire the press and is at the forefront of inkjet technology investment in the commercial print market.
Medius has more than 30 years of experience in the graphic arts industry, from print and packaging to fulfillment and eCommerce. It keeps up with the latest cutting-edge digital and traditional print equipment. With installation of the Océ VarioPrint i300, it is now paving the way for a new generation to embrace inkjet.
At the heart of Silicon Valley, Medius resides in one of the technology capitals of the world, and as such, has continued to push the envelope as it pertains to inkjet technology. This embrace of new technology is exemplified by Medius’ recent acquisition and claim to become a full inkjet commercial print shop in five to seven years.
“We thought we’d be lucky to produce two million impressions with the VarioPrint i300 per month. We’re already at four million and utilizing it for every type of job, even starting to run books on it that we would never have thought imaginable,” said Mike Zaia, VP of manufacturing at Medius.
