Color measurement is now, and always will be, a hot topic for the flexographic printer. At Flexographic Technical Association’s (FTA) upcoming Fall Conference 2017 (Oct. 9-11 in St. Louis), one session focuses on topics ranging from measuring color through global standards, to continuous improvement for optimum printing.
The 90-minute session, comprised of three presentations, will take place Oct. 11 from 8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. The first of the three topics covered will show how to accurately describe and measure color for reproduction by means of ISO 15339 for printing digital data. Next, take an in-depth look at Kaizen techniques used to improve print quality and consistency. Lastly, attendees will learn about equations via the newly updated ISO 20654, graphic technology–measurement and calculation of spot colour tone value–for a user’s color measurement device.
