A few months ago, a Rapida 75 PRO with LED-UV drying was commissioned at ColorPressArt in Kielce, Poland. It is the first half-format press incorporating this drying technology in the country. It has been configured with five printing units, a coater and triple-length extended delivery. Besides LED-UV production, it can also print and coat in a conventional process at speeds up to 16,000 sheets per hour.
The list of key press features includes FAPC fully automatic plate changers, Plate Ident, CleanTronic Synchro Speed, the disengaging of unused inking units, a console with wallscreen, ErgoTronic ColorDrive, ErgoTronic Lab, QualiTronic ColorControl with LiveView, DotView and QualityPass, ACR, accessories for printing on plastics and VariDryBlue dryers. From standard and uncoated papers to films and other plastic materials, it delivers high-quality print on practically all substrates.
“Apart from the technological advantages, the LED-UV process brings also tangible economic benefits, for example a reduced energy consumption and significant material savings,” ColorPressArt CEO Robert Tokarski said.
