Pulse Roll Label Products Ltd. will be unveiling its latest product developments and showcasing solutions for next generation label printing at Labelexpo Europe from Sept. 25-28, 2017.
With its largest presence ever at a Labelexpo show, the company will present new products and innovative, value-added solutions that enable label printers to address changes in the label market and become more competitive in today’s marketplace.
A key focus at the show will be the company’s new food packaging compliant (FPC) UV flexo product range suitable for non-direct food packaging and labeling.
The PureTone FPC ink system comprises a high strength process series and a mono-pigmented mixing base scheme which results in clean and crisp colors for easy and accurate color matching. The new ink system offers a total color management and a food packaging compliant solution for printers supplying industry sectors that require compliance to food packaging and labeling regulations and guidelines. PureTone FPC is suitable for shrink films and general label printing, with excellent adhesion to a wide range of substrates including coated papers and films.
An FPC shrink sleeve opaque white, special blacks and metallic inks, plus FPC varnishes and adhesives complement the range and a new FPC cold foil adhesive and FPC laminating adhesive for PE substrate applications will also be introduced at the show.
On-stand demonstrations will focus on “colour” and “coding’” as part of the company’s “Solutions Showcase.”
Live ink mixing, color matching and the latest pre-press proofing equipment will showcase the PureTone concept. And, for the first time, Pulse Roll Label Products will also hold live demonstrations featuring CO2 laser imaging of labels printed with PureCode, the company’s laser markable coating, in conjunction with its strategic partner DataLase, a SATO company.
A new high strength UV screen ink system using the same mono-pigmented ink technology as PureTone will be launched. The new UV screen inks are mixed with PureTone UV flexo inks, using a specially formulated reducing medium, to allow the inks to be printed through a rotary or flatbed screen.
A color matching database, using X-Rite’s InkFormulation Software (IFS), has been created for the new UV screen system which, when combined with pre-press proofing equipment from RK PrintCoat Instruments, provides further cost savings through reduced downtime and less waste on press. The UV screen-reducing medium has also been formulated to contain raw materials that are food packaging compliant (FPC).
“We are really looking forward to being back in Brussels, with our biggest stand ever, to introduce our latest products and to showcase the innovative solutions we can provide for label printers and their customers, the retailers and brand owners,” Gary Seward, managing director, Pulse Roll Label Products, said.
