Bell & Bain will be the first European book printer to elevate its digital book printing service with the Ricoh Pro VC60000 continuous feed production inkjet platform.
One of the oldest book printers in the UK, Glasgow-based Bell & Bain is also the first Scottish operation to choose to invest in the high-speed inkjet system from Ricoh.
Established in 1831, Bell & Bain specializes in the printing and binding of business, educational, financial, medical, scientific and religious books and journals. The company’s extensive production facilities consist of digital and offset printing.
The Pro VC60000 can produce more than 6,000 copies of a 128-page book in an eight-hour shift. Featuring Ricoh’s patented multi-drop inkjet technology, Ricoh’s own inks and Digital Front End, the Pro VC60000 reduces make ready time and speeds up turnaround, maximizes operational efficiency and allows greater control of costs. Bell & Bain will install the Ricoh Pro VC60000 in September.
