Canon unveiled its new Océ ProStream series, heralding a new approach to premium-quality inkjet printing that takes inkjet technology beyond its current limits and further into the commercial printing mainstream. The Océ ProStream prints uncoated, inkjet-optimized, gloss and matt-coated papers at premium quality at a rate of 80 m/min or 1,076 A4/min. The new series is already winning accolades even before launch: the ProStream has earned a coveted iF design award for 2017.
The Océ ProStream combines several completely new core technologies for continuous feed inkjet, and builds on a decade of experience in inkjet with the Océ JetStream, Océ ColorStream and Océ VarioPrint i300.
The latest piezo drop-on-demand inkjet printhead generation is leveraged with Océ Multilevel technology for sharper details, smoother half tones and economized ink usage. An Océ-developed set of ColorGrip and polymer pigment inks creates exciting, vibrant colors that leave a lasting impression – on uncoated, inkjet-optimized and gloss and matt- coated offset papers.
The new Océ ProStream looks set to make a great debut. It has already earned a coveted iF design award 2017 from Germany’s renowned iF International Forum for Design, winning over the 58-member jury of independent experts in a competition of over 5,500 entries from 59 countries.
