InPrint 2016 in Milan, Italy is expected to attract visitors focused on finding the newest products to meet the rising demand for functional, decorative and packaging printing in industrial production. INX Digital EMEA has products ready for those who stop by stand D24 during the Nov. 15-17 show, which takes place at the Milano Congressi.
INX Digital EMEA will exhibit and demonstrate inkjet technology and integration solutions by highlighting a dynamic home décor showcase and three integral pieces of equipment. INX Europe president Peter Lockley said he is excited about the opportunities the show presents.
“As a founding exhibitor of InPrint, we have always believed in a show that is all about industrial digital print. InPrint 2016 will be particularly important to us for several reasons,” said Lockley. “We develop a wide range of ink types and unique formulations for some of the most respected companies in the world. They will be here, along with others, looking for the very best new products, processes and solutions for graphics, industrial and packaging applications.”
The JetINX Printhead Drive and Ink Recirculation system is the engine that elevates two machines – the SLED and the InkCups Helix rotary printer – to a new level of expectations, and the MS Printing Solutions’ JP3 paper printer will be demonstrated. It will run with INX Digital’s Prodigy water-based, UV curable and solvent inks, which Lockley says were developed to be used on the most challenging industrial applications.
“There will be a series of objects printed with our textile pigment inks,” Lockely noted. “We plan to showcase our WBKC ink to print wallpaper using the JP3 printer. When you combine the two using Kyocera water-based inkjet printheads at 150 dpi, it gives companies a very fast and reliable solution for interior decoration that outperforms anything else available on the market.”
The printed wallpaper is the same that will embrace the home décor showcase in the stand. The JP3 printer is also being used to print furniture textile and pillow covers, dresser panels and fabrics found within the showcase. Another area will feature corrugated and folding cartons stored on shelves and printed with the pigmented inks, in addition to some flexible packaging samples.
The JP3 has a print width of 70 inches (180 cm) and can produce at a rate of 1291 square feet per hour (120 sqm) in CMYK mode or 1021 square feet per hour (95 sqm) with up to 8 colors.
Lockley says the SLED machine is perfect for testing and demonstration purposes. This includes the examination of inks and chemistries in different fluid delivery systems mounted to a device, plus testing printheads and various ink sets and evaluating ink behavior on different materials and substrates.
“SLED is a small, flexible and modular print system that fits many small application requirements,” he reported. “It could be used for developmental projects where accessing specs before scaling to a larger size machine is essential. SLED uses our JetINX technology and can be configured to match customer demands.”
Lockley said the InkCups Helix printer has a bright future in the drinkware, cosmetic and industrial printing industries, since it can produce superior quality single or multi-color images at exceptional speeds in only a few seconds.
