Goss International announced that specialist catalog printer Arandell of Menomonee Falls, WI will install its sixth Goss Sunday Press in Q4 2016, further expanding its g production capabilities to service new business.
With 70 new titles awarded in 2016, the new 57-inch (1450mm), 24pp five-unit Sunday 2000 will enable Arandell to increase its production capacity and continue to deliver the premium-quality products and high-standard level of service it is renowned for.
“As a long-standing Goss customer and early adopter of the Sunday technology, adding another Goss Sunday press to our extensive pressroom line-up was a natural step as demand for our products grew again last year,” said Brad Hoffman, president and CEO, Arandell. “Our clients require exacting color, and it is our experience that the Sunday Press is one of the few presses in the world that can deliver precise color at the speeds we require.”
Arandell’s Goss Sunday 2000 will be configured with a PPF-3.2 pinless former folder. The pinless folder reduces the non-print area on the cylinder, allowing Arandell to choose a shorter cutoff and achieve significant paper savings.
Arandell also chose the Goss Quick Plate Loading enhancement, which can cut plate changing times by up to 40%, and a VITS Rotocut Sheeter. The sheeter provides superior cutting accuracy, an integrated print-to-cut register control and further minimizes paper waste.
The Sunday 2000 will also be supplied with a perforator, UV coater and pre-folder. This will give Arandell the flexibility to produce press-finished covers as well as signatures.
