Frimpeks launched its UK presence and opened its Saxmundham site 12 months ago. The specialist labelstocks division produces a broad range of adhesives from standard permanents through to deep freeze, removables and super peel.
Frimpeks has announced a significant investment on extension plans that will see the site extended by a further 25,000 square feet, allowing room for the planned capital equipment expansion planned for 2016 and the next three years. Additional warehousing will also be available increasing storage space tenfold.
The investment includes the expansion of the existing coating line to incorporate greater automation and flexibility. In addition, a new slitter incorporating fully automated packing lines is being installed in Q2 2016. The Saxmundham site manufactures or distributes self-adhesive laminates, inks and digital media.
“This announcement underlines Frimpeks commitment to following through on its five year plan,” said UK managing director Dave Casey. “The site expansion and new plant will increase capacity and follows a similar investment at our sister plant in Remscheid, Germany. The hot melt coating capability will provide the flexibility and capacity our growing customer base demand and will give us a basis to continue our growth plans and serve the European market.”
