The 2015 SGIA Expo showcased the most innovative technologies in the specialty imaging marketplace, while establishing it as the premier marketplace for educated attendees looking to buy. More than 64% of attendees reported having direct purchasing authority.
“This is my 17th show, and it’s been one of the best,” said David Haas of Proell Inc. “We’ve seen a lot of high-quality contacts come through and even some direct contacts.”
The following results came from the Expo at the Georgia World Congress Center:
• Total registrants: 23,864 as of 2:00 p.m., Nov. 6, 2015
• Total number of exhibitors: 545 (Expo floor 100% sold out)
Many industry sectors saw significant growth of attendees at the 2015 SGIA Expo, including:
• 5% growth in sign makers
• 14% growth in apparel decorators
• 6.8% increase in commercial printers, marking the third year of growth for this industry sector
• 26% increase in printers using flexograpy, marking a significant move to digital solutions in packaging
“This is one of the best shows we’ve ever been to,” noted Jason Kammes, business development manager of Fujifilm North America, Graphic Systems Division.
