Dr. Steve Snaith was awarded with the British Coatings Federation’s Silver Medal at the Federation’s Annual Conference by BCF President John Falder of HMG Paints.
The Silver Medal recognizes outstanding individual service in the coatings industry in the UK, and it is granted to those individuals who, through their personal efforts, have contributed to the growth, health and reputation of the industry.
Dr. Snaith, recently retired from AkzoNobel Decorative Paints in Slough, has worked tirelessly in the industry for more than 30 years. In his last role he was global marketing director – professional brands for AkzoNobel Decorative Paints. He has served on the BCF Board since 2008 and chaired the Decorative Coatings Council for four years, having previously headed up the Market Education Task Force in 2006.
He also served as BCF president from 2011 to 2013 and was on the panel for recruiting Tom Bowtell, BCF’s chief executive, nearly three years ago. Dr. Snaith continues to serve on the Federation’s General Purpose and Finance Committee as a non-executive director.
