Canon Solutions America, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Canon U.S.A., Inc., announced that it will showcase its latest large format print solutions, specially featured for the display and signage market, at booth 1968 during the 2015 ISA International Sign Expo. The event will be held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV, April 9-11, 2015.
“Canon Solutions America’s large format printing solutions on display at this year’s ISA International Sign Expo feature advanced technology and unique capabilities that address the specific needs and challenges of sign and visual communications industry professionals,” said Sal Sheikh, VP, Large Format Solutions, Canon Solutions America.
Signage industry professionals demand high-quality tools that can produce exceptional display applications, which in turn enable them to visually communicate with their customers. During the expo, Canon Solutions America will highlight several of its latest offerings in flexible, large format printing solutions. This includes the Océ Arizona 6100 Series flatbed UV printer models, as well as the innovative Océ ColorWave 700 and the Océ ColorWave 900 Printer.
The entirely new Océ Arizona 6100 Series flatbed UV printers are dedicated flatbed systems designed for versatile, higher volume production of large format display graphics printing onto rigid substrates. The new printer series features an extra-large vacuum table with two independent printing zones, each with its own high-flow vacuum systems. This unique design allows for simultaneous printing as well as media loading/unloading, all vital to non-stop production. For greater flexibility, Océ Arizona Series printers can be combined with digital cutters, also available from Canon Solutions America, which deliver automated cutting of rigid substrates and rolled media.
Designed for high volume production, the Océ ColorWave 900 printer closes the gap between digital inkjet and traditional offset technology, offering a digital workflow which can produce more than 6,000 square feet of display graphics per hour.
The recently launched Océ ColorWave 700 large format printing system is a cost-wise, space-wise solution for sign and visual communications companies looking to produce a variety of graphic arts applications. Océ MediaSense technology provides the ability to print on thicker media (up to 32mil) and enables production of a wide range of graphics and point-of-sale applications such as color posters, pop-up banners, disposable POP, wallpaper, canvas, and many others – all with one device.
Also on display will be the Canon imagePROGRAF iPF6450 24-inch large format printer, which was specifically designed to meet the highest standards of professionals in the graphic, fine art, photography, and proofing industries. A large color spectrum is produced by the 12-color LUCIA EX pigment ink set, which also provides better scratch resistance and smoother gradations. A new multi-sensor provides improved color density detection and full calibration within 15 minutes and the option to add an onboard Spectrophotometer for advanced color management.
In addition to the printers on display, attendees can take a tour of the AppRoom, which features products printed on metal, wood, cork, chalkboards, Plexiglas, vinyl, wallpaper, flooring, even musical instruments and more.
