Pulse Roll Label Products Ltd. has made significant investment this year in new labeling and safety data sheet (SDS) software in response to forthcoming changes in chemical labeling legislation.
Substantial investment in both software and hardware for the new Lisam ExESS system took place earlier this year, as Pulse Roll Label Products Ltd. prepares to implement labeling changes early to give their customers plenty of time to ask questions and understand the new system.
The new EU legislation on classification, labeling and packaging of substances and mixtures - CLP Regulation (European Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008) - Classification, Labeling and Packaging – has been designed to ensure consistent and clear communication throughout the supply chain.
Chris Price, Product Manager at Pulse Roll Label Products Ltd. says, “We intend to launch our newly designed labels and CLP compliant SDSs on 1st January 2015 and will be communicating directly with our customers prior to this, to remind them of the forthcoming chemical labeling legislation changes and explain how this will impact them.”
Remaining stock, with existing labels, will be used prior to the new labeling and CLP compliant format being fully implemented by Pulse Roll Label Products in line with the 1st June 2015 deadline. New safety data sheets and labels will also be available in multi-language formats in due course.
