The limited edition 33cl cans are produced at Rexam’s Fredericia plant by combining two designs on parallel lines, which are mixed before palletising to deliver four designs simultaneously. The eye-catching designs show images of football fans in Barclays Premier League strips, highlighting the brands strapline “that premier feeling,” creating excitement around the English football season.
“We are proud to be the official beer of the Barclays Premier League and wanted a can design to communicate this,” Rasmus Bendtsen, Carlsberg Pilsner Denmark brand manager, said. “We looked to Rexam as we have a longstanding relationship with the company and appreciate their innovative design techniques. We are pleased with the outcome and feel it captures the excitement of the Barclays Premier League perfectly.”
The promotional design will replace the traditional Carlsberg design for a limited period and will be available to buy in multi-packs in Danish retail and convenience stores from March 2014.
