Canon Solutions America, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Canon U.S.A, showcased its latest large format print solutions, specially featured for the display graphics market, during SGIA Expo 2013 in Orlando FL, Oct. 23-25.
“Canon Solutions America’s turnkey printing solutions on display at this year’s SGIA Expo make it easier than ever for specialty graphics printers to offer large format printing to their customers,” said Sal Sheikh, vice president, Large Format Systems, Canon Solutions America. “These versatile solutions can deliver unmatched speed and quality; while offering print providers the ability to print on the widest variety of media and objects, so they can capture revenue from many different applications."
During the Expo, Canon Solutions America highlighted several of the Océ Arizona Series flatbed printer models, which combine true flatbed printer design and versatility at an affordable price. The Océ Arizona Series features Océ VariaDot imaging technology that delivers near-photographic image quality, even at high print speeds. For suitable applications, a higher speed Express mode is available for all Océ Arizona Series printers. Print providers can expand their range of offerings with the ability to produce a wide range of applications, including outdoor point-of-purchase signage, second surface backlit displays, exhibit displays, architectural and directional signage and event signage.
Attendees also viewed the award-winning Océ ColorWave 900 printer at the Canon Solutions America booth. The Océ ColorWave 900 printer closes the gap between digital inkjet and traditional offset technology, offering a digital workflow that can help increase productivity, lower running costs and increase flexibility for variable data and short to medium run-length print jobs. The system incorporates paper handling features from Canon’s high volume large format equipment, resulting in unmatched printing productivity at more than 6,000 square feet per hour at a speed of 12 inches per second.
Also on display was the versatile 44” Canon imagePROGRAF iPF8400S printer, which is ideal for print providers who need quality large format output and maximum productivity. Specially designed for the commercial photography, signage display, reprographic and proofing markets, the iPF8400S printer delivers consistently superb results while increasing overall production. A large color spectrum is produced by the 8-Color LUCIA EX pigment ink set, which also provides scratch resistance and smooth gradations.
