Sartomer USA, LLC, has appointed Dr. Heather Rayle as senior business director. Dr. Rayle will be responsible for marketing, sales and finance. She reports directly to Douglas Sharp, Sartomer’s global president, and will assume the commercial responsibilities of Al Tuccio, who has transitioned to a new position within Arkema.
In her role, Dr. Rayle will chair the Regional Management Committee, which is responsible for the Americas business, and will drive Sartomer’s regional R&D, manufacturing and supply chain teams to execute the company’s market-focused business strategy.
Dr. Rayle has a well-established career in materials manufacturing, serving in several managerial positions for Rohm and Haas and The Dow Chemical Company. Her most recent position prior to Sartomer was in general management for specialty glass materials.
She received bechelor’s degree in chemistry from Penn State University and an MBA from Lehigh University. Dr. Rayle also earned a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles. She will be based out of the company’s Exton, PA headquarters.
