Flint Group puts sustainability and innovation in the spotlight with its Premo Film SXS and nyloflex NExT technology, which offer a sustainable innovation to the flexible packaging market.
The desire to produce sustainable packaging brings an increasing interest in water-based inks for the flexible packaging market. Innovative, eco-friendly solutions for solvent-free printing that at the same time convince through performance, robustness and versatility are in high demand. Flint Group’s water-based flexo ink series Premo Film SXS is specifically developed to meet these customer requirements.
Premo Film SXS is designed for surface printing on a variety of film substrates and has been developed with the latest raw material technologies. The ink is based on a unique self cross-linking technology that enables the ink film to have very good adhesion to non absorbent substrates such as OPP and PE while offering excellent re-solubility and printability.
Premo Film SXS can be printed on biodegradable film up to 500 m/min with excellent print quality and is compostable. Adhesion characteristics with Premo Film SXS are far better than with any conventional water-based ink.
nyloflex NExT is a new and innovative exposure technology, for producing precise image reproduction as well as flat top dots, providing all the benefits linked to this structure, including increased tonal range, expanded utilization of surface textures to greatly improve ink lay down, and solid ink density. Printing plates are exposed with high-intensity UV-LEDs, allowing a consistent UV emission and the reproduction of even the finest details.
Together with Comexi Group and BASF, Flint Group will showcase the latest sustainable solutions at Drupa 2012, Hall 10 C62. Visitors are invited to follow live print runs at the Comexi FLEXO F2 press using Flint Group’s Premo Film SXS and nyloflex NExT technology, daily from May May 6-10. During this time, Flint Group’s experts are available for discussions and will present latest updates directly at the stand.
