James Ford, Color Resolutions International’s (CRI) special projects technical manager, was selected to be a speaker at the FFTA’s Annual Forum, held May 2-5, 2010 in Las Vegas.
Mr. Ford addressed the complex issues related to packaging and coefficient of friction (COF) measurements, including slide angles and rub resistance performance.
Most packages endure movement on conveyors (requiring low slide) as well as shipping (requiring high slide). Add to that, special coatings, rub, blocking or resolubility issues on an array of varied substrates, and you can understand why hundreds of printers and converters were motivated to attend the substrates session. CRI’s technical specialists are trained to understand the requirements of the package and selecting the right inks and coatings to meet those challenges.
