Nazdar announced its collaboration with Portraits of Hope, the non-profit program that conceived Garden in Transit, a community collaboration and public art project bringing colorful graphics to New York City’s taxi fleet.
As part of this groundbreaking motivational art, education, and creative therapy project, thousands of kids in schools, hospitals, and community institutions have painted vibrant flowers – symbolizing joy, life, beauty, and inspiration – on adhesive weatherproof panels that will be applied to the hoods, trunks and/or roofs of thousands of New York City cabs.
“Because we are serious about our responsibilities as a corporate citizen, Nazdar is pleased to make a donation to such a worthy cause, involving children in hospitals and schools in this educational art project,” said Michael Fox, president of Nazdar. “Thanks to Nazdar’s partnership with MacTac, who provided the media, and AAA Flag & Banner, who printed the panels, this has been an overwhelming success.”
Nazdar is supporting this unique community project, which has involved more than 23,000 children and adults, by donating the UV clear coat which is applied after the graphics have been printed to protect the vinyl decals. Nazdar will provide enough 3600 Overprint Clear to coat more than 750,000 square feet of pressure sensitive vinyl.
