INX International Ink Co. was the biggest winner in the 2006 Gold Ink Awards sponsored by Printing Impressions and Publishing Executive magazines, as 11 of its customers garnered a total of 57 awards, including Gold, Silver and/or Bronze awards in eight different Gold Ink competition categories.

All told, INX users earned awards in 20 different categories ranging from annual reports, brochures (sheetfed and web), business catalogs, consumer catalogs (sheetfed and web), calendars, folders, direct mail packages and dimensional printing, to manuals, several magazine categories (covers, inserts, specialty as well as tabloid magazines), softcover books, flexible packaging and multimedia packaging.

“We are delighted to have helped so many INX customers earn these prestigious awards,” said Rick Clendenning, INX International president and CEO.  “The number and diversity attest to the quality of our ink products across a full range of print applications and processes — as well as the expertise in our customer operations.”

Leading the way among INX customers was The Hennegan Co. with three Gold awards (Specialty Magazines/Sheetfed, Manuals and Softcover Books), four Silver and three Bronze awards.  National Graphics Inc. also earned a Gold (Magazine Covers), and Continental Web Press added a Bronze in the Consumer Catalogs category.

Other INX customers earning awards in this year’s competition include American Packaging, Burton & Mayer, CDW, Graphic Arts Center, Jet, JohnsByrne Co., MWM Dexter Inc. and Publishers Press.  Winners were chosen from more than 1,500 entries submitted, based on print quality, technical difficulty and overall visual effect.
