Sartomer Company will increase the price of its Poly bd hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene resins as of March 1, 2005 (April 1, 2005 for contract customers) in the Americas and the Asia-Pacific region.
Poly bd R45HTLO will increase by U.S. $0.11 per pound, and Poly bd R20LM, Poly bd 600E, and Poly bd 605E will increase by U.S. $0.15 per pound. This represents a price increase of 5 to 7 percent, depending on the grade.
According to Alain Drexler, Sartomer’s marketing manager of Poly bd and Krasol polyols, the price increase is due to an unprecedented increase in the costs of raw materials and energy. No price increase has been announced for Sartomer’s Krasol hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene resins.
