At its May meeting, the Chicago Printing Ink Production Club (CPIPC) enjoyed a presentation by Alex Semijalac of Soultions Dispersions, Inc., who discussed “Carbon Black Characteristics and Printing Ink Applications.”
The CPIPC awards scholarships annually to the National Printing Ink Research Institute’s (NPIRI) summer ink courses. This year, Eric Anderson of Dynamic Color Systems and John Andersen of Kohl & Madden were selected as the recipients during a drawing held at this meeting.
Call for Papers for the CPMA International Color Pigments Conference on April 20-22
The Color Pigments Manufacturers Association, Inc. (CPMA) is being joined by Rodman Publications (publishers of Ink World, Coatings World and Happi), in presenting the premiere symposium in North America on the latest trends and new developments in pigments for inks, coatings, cosmetics, ceramics, plastics, and other applications. The conference, which will be held April 20-22, 2004 in Chicago, IL, will offer attendees more than two days of educational networking opportunities for those involved with or interested in the color pigments industry. Previous CPMA conferences have brought together hundreds of participants from all over the world.
Papers emphasizing both business and technical issues affecting color pigments manufacturers, their suppliers and users in the paints, plastics, inks, cosmetics, ceramics and other industries are being solicited.
