Arleen Neustein, president, The Excelsior Packaging Group, Yonkers, NY, was recently inducted into the Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) Hall of Fame. She is the first female welcomed into the prestigious 41-member society.
Fifteen years ago, Ms. Neustein conceived the idea of implementing a program of Flexographic Image Reproduction Specifications and Tolerances (FIRST).
She helped to chart the present path of the FTA, serving for six years (1995-2001) on the board of directors and the Foundation of FTA’s Board of Trustees, accepting an inaugural seat on the FIRST Committee and later taking its helm for a one-year period.
Under Ms. Neustein’s leadership, Excelsior has captured four gold, two silver and two bronze medals in the FTA Excellence in Flexography Awards competitions in the past five years. The honors went to envelopes, calendars and flexible packages.
